Quarterly Pulse: Bubbles, Brackets & Platforms

Tom:

Welcome to our biweekly update. I’m Tom Boh, joined by my colleagues Kelly Heppe and Alex Phillips.

Recently, we discussed stock market bubbles—a speculative phase many of us remember from the early 2000s. The article linked here , published by First Trust, offers a thoughtful perspective on how history often rhymes, especially with emerging technologies and the short-term investment euphoria they tend to spark.

As the market continues to rise, this topic will likely gain more attention in the media. We’ll be monitoring it closely. With that, I’ll hand it over to Kelly.

Kelly:

Thanks, Tom. As we approach year-end, we want to highlight the potential for high capital gains, which could impact your 2025 tax liability—similar to last year.

Detailed reports will be available by the end of the month to help you assess your situation. In the meantime, we recommend reviewing your year-to-date tax payments to ensure you're on track to meet Safe Harbor requirements and avoid underpayment penalties.

Please reach out with any questions. Now, over to Alex.

Alex:

Thanks, Kelly. As part of our commitment to adopting the latest technologies, our team will be transitioning to Microsoft Teams for all virtual meetings.

This change will be phased in over the next few weeks to ensure a smooth experience. Our goal is to make virtual meetings more seamless and better integrated with Baird’s internal systems.
We appreciate your flexibility during this upgrade. Thank you for your continued trust and confidence. Have a great weekend and take care.
